ANZAC Day

We all had a day off for Anzac Day on Thursday, so we all got up very, very early (it was still dark!) to go to the Dawn Service at the Cenotaph on the Esplanade.  There were loads of people there and I couldn't see a thing.  Luckily it was followed by a  Parade through the city centre.  The best bit was the jets flying over and the dogs and horses.

We then went to the new military museum which was brilliant.  They had a really scary film about Darwin being bombed in a war, but the best bit was the really big gun.  Dad took the photo of me saluting under it.

The other really good thing was the giant searchlight, which made everything look upside down.

Mum and dad had a snooze when we got home!
